UH is slowly transforming itself from the almost total commuter school it was a generation back. It has a very diverse student population and incredible abundance of course offerings. Because it yet remains pretty much a commuter school, there remains room for improvement in attendance for most on-campus events.

UH offers many opportunities and degrees. Many Houston businesses offer internships and analyst programs to UH students. Greek life and various other organizations offer many social opportunities. UH athletics compete at a high level and games are fun to attend. UH is underrated in my opinion. Being a UH Alum has helped me in numerous ways. 2 different jobs in my career were through UH networking.

I've had a wonderful experience at the University of Houston. I am a Marketing & Entrepreneur who was in both the Program for Excellence in Selling (#1 Undergraduate Sales Program) and the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (#3 in the Nation). During my time here, I got involved, and I think that's why I love this campus so much. While I was here they finished a new stadium, and brand new student center with new business buildings as well. By getting involved I met many wonderful people from all kinds of different backgrounds. I had the chance to talk to State Representatives, CEO's, Researchers, and many more. Parking sucks really bad. Food is okay, could be better. Value is alright, but this is definitely an up and coming school.

TURN AROUND AND RUN TO UT/A&M! Since I've joined UH, all it's ever been about is making the school look good through athletics. UH has one of the lowest graduation rates in the country. More money is spent on the football stadium and basketball arena than for the security of its students. School just started and every other day I get an email about a sexual assault or someone getting robbed in the parking lots. Speaking of parking,it costs about 130-150 dollars to get the crappiest and some of the most unsafe parking on campus. Which all these parking lots are full by 8:00am. People that say this school gets you more bang for your buck clearly don't keep up with other schools in Texas. UH's tuition per class is higher than UT's and A&M's, even though it doesn't nationally rank anywhere close to these two school. The only highlight is the facility. Also, for a school where a majority of the student body is from a middle class family, the President maybe the highest paid in the nation.

UH has built a new football stadium, new classroom buildings, a new student center, and has a lot of dining options around campus. Some of the statistics on this site are old, and fail to mention that there are currently more than 8,000 residential beds on campus, making UH second in number of beds for all Texas universities. 3 new residence halls have been built in the last 5 years and demolition is underway to make room for another. UH Football finished number 8 in the nation last season and new athletic facilities are being built yearly.
