As someone who was actively involved in high school, TCU is not the place for minorities. I was a varsity cheerleader, and student ambassador, and was in numerous extracurricular activities. I am about to wrap up my sophomore year as a transfer student and I transferred in Fall 2022. Let me tell you, TCU is not what I expected. The majority of people are white, rich, and stuck up. Greek life is a big deal here and as someone who doesn't look like everybody else (brown, Hispanic, curly hair) I do not fit in. I was lucky enough to find my closest friends, but they were the only reason I stayed. In my first year at TCU, I tried out for the cheer team and attempted to rush Greek life. I am extremely passionate about cheerleading and every time I expressed to someone that I was trying out, they told me there was "a look." I mean... just say they only want tall white blonde girls, because that's exactly who they chose. I am 100% certain if I looked like everyone else on the team, I would've made it. The TCU cheer program for this new season contains 1/30 minorities. There is no diversity quota for the program. As for Greek life, it's also very political. Most sororities have dirty rushes and already know who they want prior to rushing. Also, sororities only have a few minorities to look diverse. After wrapping up my first year at TCU as a sophomore, the only piece I can say is you can never win as a minority. TCU student body is political and discriminates 100%. Money gets you places you want, but being white gets you wherever you want. Overall, the students are nice but extremely cliquey.

More females than males! Very Greek school - small classes and tight knit community. Very proud and a lot of school spirit!
