If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to Houston Baptist University?
Very conservative, biased, with low diversity. Classes are not held in designated areas pertaining to the subject. Many of the professors teaching course don't have degrees in the subjects they are teaching (i.e. Sociology professors teaching history). They are limited with their courses and availability, charge extra for online classes, and very few professors exhibit flexibility. Their attitudes are not upholding their "christian values" and it's almost like attending a high school. There are limited activities available and very few opportunities. Everything is a money scheme. Resources are non-existent and many of the facilities are in need of updating. Tuition is expensive but there are no signs around the school as to where the money is actually going
