Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is a private liberal arts institution located in Harrogate, Tennessee, with proximity to Knoxville. Established in 1897, the university was named in honor of Abraham Lincoln and sits on a 1,000-acre campus amidst the scenic Cumberland Gap area, reflecting an Appalachian heritage. LMU offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable emphasis on health sciences including its esteemed nursing and veterinary medicine programs. With a moderately selective admission process, the university attracts a diverse student body seeking a personalized educational experience.
