Villanova University, chartered in 1842 and located in the suburban town of Villanova, Pennsylvania, is a private Catholic research university situated approximately 12 miles west of Philadelphia. The institution is grounded in the Augustinian tradition, presenting a historic campus notable for its Gothic architecture.
