Outstanding well rounded education that is as good as any, including the Ivies. Plus no grade inflation as is the case with many of the Ivies.

Combination of great academics, atmosphere of non-competitive, great collaboration between students and professors, friendly attitude towards each others, and mostly the Honor Code that is a guiding line for social and academic life at Haverford. that you can not get it any where else....

My daughter chose Haverford because of the combination of great academics, supportive community, culture of collaboration instead of competition, and a terrific location. While it's still early in her career there, she's incredibly happy with her choice. She visited about 20 schools - mostly small, liberal arts colleges - in the year and half leading up to the application process, and Haverford immediately went to the top of the list. The most comparable school, in terms of culture and community, seemed to be Carleton, but Haverford's location, in a suburb of Philadelphia, and superior financial aid history were the deciding factors in her decision to apply ED at Haverford.

Penn, Swarthmore and Haverford form the "QUAKER CONSORTIUM" which allows students at any one school to take courses at the other schools. You will not find a finer college anywhere with higher academic rigor and quality.

Haverford College boast the second highest 4 year graduation rate in the nation of all colleges and universities. While the sticker price is among the highest in the country students get their moneys worth with small classes and individual attention by outstanding faculty. You will receive an excellent education at Haverford. Very high acceptance to grad school which will show up statistically when researching average salary for new graduates but, as in my case, pays off big time in the long run.
