F&M is the epitome of the liberal arts experience. I had the opportunity to explore esoteric topics in depth, such as dynamic steady state systems, and broader areas of study (including linguistics and psychology), while majoring in government and economics. F&M positioned me well for success - first at law school and then with the intellectual and work demands as a first year associate at a law firm. I am sure that it varies from student to student, but I could not have been happier with my education.

Drown students with work and push liberal ideas on their students and will give lower grades if what is expressed in class does not agree with their views. Tuition is now top 10 in the country for a barely top 50 liberal arts school with low tier job opportunities after college. Terrible social life, weekends are spent at a disgusting dive bar and crammed into small apartments sweating until you faint. Freshmen are being hospitalized at an alarming rate because there is nowhere to safely drink without the risk of getting in trouble so they choose to binge drink in their dorms instead. Greek life is being destroyed by the administration because of Penn State and not what actually happens at the school. If you want to have work crammed down your esophagus, live in an intolerantly liberal bubble, not have anywhere to go on the weekends, not have a job after college, and be asphyxiated by debt for the next 20 years then come here.
