North Carolina State University at Raleigh, commonly known as NC State, is a public research institution established in 1887 and is part of the University of North Carolina system. Situated in the capital city of Raleigh, NC State benefits from its proximity to the thriving Research Triangle Park, fostering strong research and employment connections. The university spans more than 2,100 acres and showcases a blend of historical and modern architecture amid expansive green spaces. Known for its competitive admissions process, NC State offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable strengths in engineering, agriculture, veterinary medicine, and textiles.
