East Carolina University (ECU) is located in Greenville, North Carolina, approximately 85 miles east of Raleigh. The 1,600-acre main campus features Georgian-style architecture and consists of three distinct areas: main campus, health sciences campus, and west research campus. Founded in 1907 as a teacher training school, ECU has grown into a comprehensive public research university, with the Brody School of Medicine and College of Nursing serving as flagship programs.
