The Sage Colleges, now known as Russell Sage College following a 2020 consolidation, is a private institution located in Troy, New York, situated along the Hudson River approximately 15 minutes from the state capital of Albany. The historic campus features Victorian-era buildings centered around a traditional quad in downtown Troy, while maintaining a second instructional location in Albany. Founded in 1916 as a women's college, Russell Sage now operates as a coeducational institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs, with particular emphasis in health sciences, management, and education. The campus maintains its historic women's residential college in Troy, while offering coeducational academic programs at both locations.
