SUNY Polytechnic Institute, commonly known as SUNY Poly, is a public institution located in Utica, New York, that specializes in studies of technology and applied sciences. Established in 1966, as a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, the Utica campus offers a suburban setting approximately 90 miles from Syracuse, providing students with a blend of small-town comfort and access to urban conveniences. Academically, SUNY Poly is notable for its programs in nanoscience and engineering, as well as offerings in computing, engineering technology, and the sciences.
