Genesee Community College (GCC) is located in rural Batavia, New York, approximately midway between Buffalo and Rochester. The main campus, established in 1966, features modern academic facilities spread across a 240-acre campus, with the primary building complex connected by enclosed walkways to accommodate western New York weather conditions. In addition to the main campus, GCC operates six satellite centers throughout the GLOW region (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming counties) to serve its commuter student population. The college maintains an open admission policy and offers more than 60 academic programs, with notable strengths in nursing, business, and criminal justice. While most students commute to campus, GCC provides apartment-style student housing through College Village, which accommodates approximately 450 students.
