Queensborough Community College, established in 1959, occupies 37 acres in the residential Bayside neighborhood of Queens, approximately 15 miles from Manhattan. The campus features a mix of modern and mid-century buildings, including notable facilities like the Kupferberg Holocaust Center and the QCC Art Gallery. As one of the City University of New York's community colleges, QCC offers more than 40 associate degree programs, with particular strengths in health sciences, business, and visual/performing arts. The college maintains an open admission policy for New York City high school graduates and serves a diverse student population primarily from Queens and the surrounding boroughs. Campus facilities include recently renovated science laboratories, a performing arts center, and the only planetarium in Queens.
