Great school academically. Definitely a suitcase school where a lot of students go home on weekends, which makes weekends pretty dull. Freshman dorms are in serious need of renovations. As a parent, you need to know that TCNJ has a terrible merit scholarship program. Highest amount they give is just $3k per year. Most students don't get anything. And NJ Public universities seem to rake NJ students over the coals a lot more than other states do to their in-state applicants. It's a lot of money to go here. Most other state universities charge in-state students in the $25k range per year. NJ must be special because they demand over $32k per year. It's very mean.
