Rust College is a private, historically Black liberal arts college located in Holly Springs, Mississippi, approximately 35 miles southeast of Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 1866 by the Freedman's Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church, this institution is one of the oldest of such colleges in the United States. The college boasts a modest, pedestrian-friendly campus known for its historic red brick buildings that mirror its longstanding heritage. Rust College offers a range of bachelor's degree programs with a strong emphasis on teaching and social science disciplines. While the college has an open admissions policy, it maintains a selective process to ensure a good fit between the institution's offerings and student goals. Housing options are available for students who desire to live on campus, providing a traditional collegiate environment. Rust College does not have a prominent athletic profile, thus, the emphasis remains on its academic programs and community involvement.

In the most recent statistical year 2,467 prospective students applied, and 1,943 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 184 enrolled in the school.  587 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 168 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $9,900 plus fees of $0.

Rust College is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) primarily serving the African-American community.
