Mississippi State University, located in Starkville, Mississippi, is a public land-grant institution established in 1878. Residing approximately 125 miles northeast of Jackson, the university?s rural campus spans over 4,200 acres, featuring a blend of contemporary and historic architecture. The university provides a range of on-campus housing options to accommodate its student body. Academically, Mississippi State is noted for its robust engineering programs, its College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the Bagley College of Engineering.
