If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to Wayne State University?
To begin, it depends on what course of study you choose (mine Chem/BA and Math/MA) and as such I found WSU challenging. As a student I can't say I had all that much fun it was all I could do to keep up academically, but then again I wasn't there for fun so I don't feel I missed much. My full appreciation of WSU as a quality university occurred post graduations. The doors my WSU degrees opened in the workplace and once there the ability to compete effectively with graduates from other national universities was the true gift of my WSU education. I now fully appreciate the value of a Wayne State University education is rooted in its motto: Integrity, Intelligence, Industry. P.S. Please note Student Housing and Scene do not apply to my WSU experience.

This is a unique location in an unusually diverse city. I am better prepared than my work peers to thrive in a multi-cultural society. That time I received directly with faculty really paid off. I understand my field in both a practical and intellectual way, which is unusual.
