Washtenaw Community College (WCC), established in 1965, is a public, two-year community college located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, proximate to the dynamic college town atmosphere of the University of Michigan. The campus spans across 285 acres with a blend of modern and traditional architecture, providing a diverse range of academic programs with an emphasis on transfer readiness, career preparation, and workforce development. Notably, the college offers a multitude of occupational training programs, including in-demand fields like nursing, advanced manufacturing, and automotive services. Although WCC maintains an open-door admissions policy, it is selective due to program-specific requirements. The college does not provide on-campus housing facilities, catering primarily to commuter students from the surrounding areas. While WCC is not predominantly recognized for its athletic programs, it does offer recreational sports and wellness activities as part of its student life offerings.
