If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to University of New Orleans?
I got a great education here and met some of the best people with whom I am still very close today, over 20 years later. This group is my best friends and I met them at UNO There are many opportunities for student engagement, but you may have to look for them. I was very active and served as an officer in my sorority. I was on the student activities council and I worked part time on campus at the recreation center - which is a fantastic place for student engagement. You?re in one of the most culturally vibrant and festive cities in the world but located on the quieter side of town. Yes, New Orleans has a quiet side of town and it?s right on the lakefront. Just walk over the levee to read, study, picnic, and relax on the lakefront; or head out into the city for unbelievable music, food and the best nightlife imaginable- it?s only about 10 minutes away!
