Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO), located in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, was founded in 1956 as a branch unit of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. The public, historically black university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs across its colleges, with Business Administration, Criminal Justice, and Social Work being particularly prominent. With a predominantly urban campus, the institution provides both on-campus housing and a commuter-friendly environment.
