If you are a student, former student, faculty member or parent, please help guide other prospective students by sharing your personal experiences at this college. What is it really like to go to Loyola University New Orleans?
As a parent and a proud military veteran, I believe strongly in the importance of respecting all viewpoints and fostering an environment where independent thinking is encouraged. Unfortunately, my daughter?s experience at Loyola University New Orleans has been the opposite. The school has shown little support for students who hold different opinions and, in some cases, has discriminated against those who do not align with the prevailing narrative. Universities should be places where diversity of thought is celebrated, not suppressed. Every student deserves to feel heard and respected, regardless of their perspective. Loyola has fallen short of this ideal, and that is deeply disappointing to me as someone who served to protect the freedoms that include open dialogue and representation for all.
