Louisiana State University (LSU), located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a public research university founded in 1860. With a sprawling campus noted for its Italian Renaissance architecture, LSU is situated on over 2,000 acres and is approximately 80 miles northwest of New Orleans. The university offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, with notable attention in the fields of coastal and environmental science, engineering, and agriculture.
