Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC), located in Ashland, Kentucky, is a public two-year institution that enrolls students in a variety of academic and technical programs aimed at skill development and workforce readiness. Established in 1938, ACTC has since grown to encompass a multi-campus setting primarily serving the residents of Northeast Kentucky and the surrounding tri-state area, including proximity to the city of Huntington, West Virginia. The college's campus exudes a focused academic environment, tailored for commuter students, with no on-campus housing facilities provided. ACTC is known for its diverse offering of programs, with a particular emphasis on technical education, allied health, and business studies. The application process at ACTC is recognized for having an open admissions policy, which facilitates broader access to postsecondary education for its applicants.
