Bethel College is a private Mennonite liberal arts institution located in North Newton, Kansas, approximately 30 miles north of Wichita. Founded in 1887 by Mennonite settlers, it is the oldest Mennonite college in North America and operates on a 90-acre campus characterized by native Kansas prairie landscaping and limestone buildings. The college maintains its historic connection to Mennonite Church USA while welcoming students of all faiths, offering undergraduate programs with particular strengths in nursing, teacher education, and natural sciences. Students are required to live on campus for their first two years, with housing provided in four residential halls, and the college competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) as the Threshers.
