Augustana College, a private liberal arts institution situated in Rock Island, Illinois, provides a picturesque campus environment nestled on a 115-acre land and features an array of pre-professional programs. Founded in 1860, Augustana maintains a historic affiliation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Notably, the campus architecture incorporates both modern and traditional designs, including the notable Old Main building, constructed in a Victorian Romanesque style. This residential college offers a variety of housing options for students, fostering a supportive living and learning community. Augustana is distinguished by its robust offerings in the sciences, business, and communication studies, and is moderately selective in its admissions process.
