Middle Georgia State University is located in Macon, Georgia, approximately 85 miles southeast of Atlanta, with additional campuses in Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins. The main Macon campus features modern academic buildings and student facilities spread across 419 acres of wooded landscape. Originally founded as Macon State College in 1968, the institution achieved university status in 2015 through a merger with Middle Georgia College, expanding its academic offerings to include bachelor's and master's degree programs.
