Jacksonville University occupies a 240-acre riverfront campus along the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida's Arlington neighborhood, positioned approximately 15 minutes from downtown Jacksonville and 20 minutes from the Atlantic coast. Founded in 1934 as a junior college before becoming a four-year institution in 1956, the university features Spanish-Mediterranean architecture across its waterfront setting.
