The University of California-Riverside (UCR) is a public research institution nestled in the suburban setting of Riverside, California, approximately 50 miles east of Los Angeles. Established in 1954 as a college and gaining university status in 1959, UCR has evolved into a significant presence in the UC system, with a focus on expanding knowledge and innovation.
