Where is USC located?

I'm interested in applying to USC and was wondering where exactly it's located. Can anyone tell me more about its campus and the surrounding area?

USC

The University of Southern California (USC) is located in Los Angeles, California, specifically in the heart of the city's University Park neighborhood. The main campus sits about 2 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles, making it easily accessible to everything the city has to offer.

USC's 229-acre University Park campus features a blend of classic Romanesque architecture and modern facilities. The campus is bordered by Exposition Boulevard to the north and Jefferson Boulevard to the south, with Vermont Avenue marking its eastern edge. This location puts you within walking distance of museums, including the Natural History Museum and the California Science Center in Exposition Park.

The surrounding neighborhood is distinctly urban and vibrant, reflecting LA's diverse cultural landscape. You'll find yourself in a bustling area with restaurants, cafes, and shops catering to the student population. The campus is well-connected to the rest of Los Angeles via public transportation, with a Metro rail station right on campus that can take you to downtown LA, Santa Monica, or Hollywood.

USC also has a Health Sciences campus located about 5 miles northeast of the main campus in the Boyle Heights neighborhood. This 79-acre campus houses the Keck School of Medicine and other health-related programs. For most undergraduate students, however, the University Park campus will be your primary location for classes and activities.
